Samuel the salesman

Samuel sells dictionaries, and his monthly income has two components, a fixed component of $1000, and a variable component of $C for each set of dictionaries that he sells in that month over a sales target of n sets, where n>0. How much did he earn in March?
(1) If Samuel had sold three fewer sets in March, his income for that month would have been $600 lower than it was.
(2) If Samuel had sold 10 sets of dictionaries in March, his income for that month would have been over $4000.

IMO C

1) If Samuel had sold three fewer sets in March his income would be $600 less. This means that the commission per set can be $200, $300, or $600 depending on what n equals. For example, if all three sets earn commission then the commission is $200. If only 2 sets earn commission then the commission is $300. If only 1 set earns commission then the commission is $600. Do not know what n equals or the total number of sets sold. Insufficient.

2) Not enough info to determine the total income for March. Insufficient.

1) and 2) From 1) we know commission is $200, $300 or $600. From 2) we know that if he sold 10 sets his income would be over $4000. We can calculate the maximum income for each of our commission scenarios. Since n>0, to calculate the maximum that could be earned set n=1.

$1000 + 9($200) = $2800
$1000 + 9($300) = $3700
$1000 + 9($600) = $6400

Only with a commission of $600 can Samuel earn over $4000 by selling 10 sets. Therefore we know the commission is $600. If he sold three fewer sets in March and his income only decreases by $600, we know only one set that he sold in March earned commission. Therefore, his total earned in March must be the $1000 fixed salary plus one $600 commission or $1600.

I think this is correct but I'm not 100% positive. What's the OA?
