Is x*y > 60?

(1) x + y > 60
If x = 0, y = 61, x*y = 0
If x = 1, y = 61, then x*y = 61
No unique answer.
So, (1) is NOT SUFFICIENT.

(2) x > 2 and y > 2 implies the product of x and y may or may not be greater than 60.
So, (2) is NOT SUFFICIENT.

Combining (1) and (2), we get that x and y are both greater than 2 such that x + y > 60, which clearly states the product of x and y will also be greater than 60.

The correct answer is
(C)
.
