Carbon-14 dating reveals that the megalithic monuments in Brittany are nearly 2,000 years as old as any of their supposed Mediterranean predecessors.

(A) as old as any of their supposed
(B) older than any of their supposed

I would choose B. Since the artifacts were found in the mediterranean the point in question is whether or not they are predecessors not whether or not they are from the same area. supposedly modifies Mediterranean, which is incorrect. You have to use "supposed" which is an adjective which modifies the noun predecessors.

What's the OA?

Great catch!

I am still struggling with adj vs adv issues.

OA is : B
