Hey All,

New to the forums. I wanted to ask, has anyone used WinGMAT (wingmat.com) at all for their gmat prep? I like the idea of their format but don't want to waste time/$$$ on it if pwoplw have found it to be ineffective. Also curious as to how accurate their video examples are to the real test. Any ideas? Opinions would be appreciated!

There have been eerily similar posts in the past on this forum, but I'll assume the question is genuine. If you type 'wingmat' (or any other company name you're interested in) into the search field in this forum, you can find comments and reviews from other forum members.

I posted a comment, not in reference to any specific company, advising that people do some research before investing a lot of money in test prep courses or materials:

To echo and expand on what Ian said...I've never seen a legitimate review of them (do a search as he suggested). Every so often someone seems to come in asking about them as their very first post, and never participates again, so I would imagine you will have a tough time finding out anything about them in any of the forums. Which ought to tell you something.

I would not recommend them. I thought they would be great, but I found myself frustrated with their site and lack of answers and explanations on certain sections.

But I suggest you try it yourself. I signed up for an account (did not pay, but signed up for an account with my email) and then in a day or two they will email you saying you can have a free test day. You call or talk to their customer service rep online, and they will give you a free day to judge their services.

Don't worry, I don't work for them! If I'm going to invest in a program I'd like to make sure that it's worth what I'm paying for. I know it's cheaper than other alternatives (kaplan, princeton review, etc) but a little $$ spent on something useless vs a lot spent on something useful, I'd rather opt for the useful. I'll do a search on these forums as well. I figured I'd ask as I haven't seen too many reviews for them to date.
