Quant on PowerPrep

by gmatcat » Tue May 06, 2008 11:36 am
I took 2 pratice GMAt tests and found the quant to be much harder than question in OG11. Can someone please suggest what is the best way to prepare for these. I am really worried. Thank you.

That's funny. I had the opposite opinion. The quant on the PowerPrep tests was a lot easier, in my opinion, than on the GmatPrep tests or the real test for that matter.

gecko1975, Thanks for sharing your experience. Can you tell me what was your scoring range? Thanks.

I had the same feeling as Gecko. Quant, especially in Power Prep 2, seemed a lot easier than in Gmat Prep.

Sure. I made a Q47 on PP 1 and a Q49 on PP2, but ended up only getting a Q44 on the actual test.

So maybe discount the Quant score a couple of points to get an idea of your score. (at least in my circumstance it was needed).

I did find the GMATprep to be right on though.

Thanks gecko and Magellan. I think its probably because you are both scoring in higer ranges than me. I am aiming for a score of about 600. I have no math background and have been working on the OG 11 for a while. I undersand the problmes there but when I write the pratice test I feel totally lost. I am not even hitting 400.... its very scary. I am not sure how I should go about this whole thing. I was doign well on verbal but now I am loosing contol on that too.

Please help any advice is more than welcome.
