I'm weak in DS, but don't really know how to handle these questions. Anyone got a strategy to handle DS questions?
Hate them. They require practise, because they aren't asking you for a straight answer. Keep in mind what the question is asking!
The basic strategy is to figure out if (1) is sufficient on its own.
THEN, figure out if (2) is sufficient on its own.
If they are both not sufficient, then check if the two rules combines are sufficient.
Now if you can do this, you can answer accordingly. If you can't do this, at least try to narrow it down.
If you know that (1) IS sufficient on its own, then you know the answer is A or D.
If you know that (1) IS NOT alone sufficient, then you know the answer is B, C, or E.
Similar rules for (2)
Don't dismiss the value of a 1 in 3 guess. If you develop a good gut field,that increases your chances even more.
