Not sure whether this is right but I will try

I think the key here is to know that Angle PQR + Angle PRQ + Angle PRS =180 degrees because they form a straight line.

With this known,

(1) says that Angle QPR is 30 degrees so Angles PQR and PRQ should have 150 degrees and from this we know that Angle PRS is 30 degrees and hence we can find the angle PQR as well.

(2) says the exact same thing.
