Hi,

I have been practicing RC through OG.

As suggested in study materials, I have started practice by making summary notes of each paragraphs, but am not gaining much out of it. Can some one suggest if we have a forum where we have notes by other people which will help me see where I need to improve.

Basically wants to improve on data capturing. Please help and guide how to improve on this.

Hi ash4gmat,

From what you describe, it sounds like you understand that there are benefits to be had by proper note-taking, but you're not exactly sure what you should be taking notes on. The note-taking process can be somewhat personalized, so rather than trying to 'copy' someone else's note-taking process, you might need to hone your overall RC skills along with your note-taking skills.

1) How long have you been studying RC?
2) What resources have you been using to study RC?
3) Do you know the common RC question types, what it takes to answer them and the common wrong answers the GMAT often includes in RC questions?

Hi ash4gmat,

Since you've been studying RC for just 1 week, you shouldn't be too concerned about those skills just yet. Continue to train and practice accordingly.

The OG books are great sources for practice questions, but they are NOT designed to teach you Tactics, pattern-matching or any of the little 'secrets' to the GMAT. As such, you might want to invest in some actual 'training' materials that will help you to learn all of the necessary content and Tactics for the ENTIRE Test.

1) Have you been using any other resources besides the OG during your studies?
2) What is your goal score?
3) When are you planning to take the GMAT?

Hi Rich,

Thanks for the advise.
Yea RC has been my weakness always. Have gone through some different strategies available on internet which are almost same in approach.

1) Have you been using any other resources besides the OG during your studies? Did from GMATPREP.
2) What is your goal score? 680
3) When are you planning to take the GMAT? Jan 1st week.

Looking for more advise.
