GMAT "No-show" status

by gurpreetsingh.1982 » Sat Mar 24, 2012 10:23 am
Hi,

The 1st time I was supposed to do my GMAT last year, due to changes in my organization, I was unable to make it for my GMAT appointment. Furthermore, since I was too late to postpone my exam and had no choice, I did not turn up for the appointment. Hence, I have the "No-show - Absent" status in my 1st appointment.
What I would like to ask, is
1. if MBA admissions/schools would be able to access all GMAT results and not just the latest result (hence be able to see my "No-show" status), and
2. if my "No-show" status would be regarded negatively in my MBA application.

Appreciate your feedback on this, thanks.

Gurpreet Singh

Hey guys,

Did anyone face a similar situation, like what I did below?
Much appreciate your feedback.

Thanks,
Gurpreet

Hi gurpreet, this just happened to me today so I can really sympathize with you. However, I dont think this will have much of an impact as schools will only be interested in the highest scores on your record and not your entire testing history. They will especially not be too concerned to find out why you had a no-show on the test in my opinion

Hi indialogue,

Sorry to you hear about this too.
Yeah I would guess as much, but was just concerned should schools assess my entire testing history.
Anyway, thanks and all the best for your next appointment!
