If \(2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 ÷ 2 =2^x,\) then \(x =\)

(A) -16
(B) -8
(C) -5
(D) -4
(E) -3
OA=E
Solution:

Since 2 / 2 / 2 / 2 / 2 = 2 / (2 x 2 x 2 x 2) = 2/16 = 1/8 = 1/2^3 = 2^(-3), x = -3.
