Shortcut Needed.

(B) 0.02775
(C) 2.775
(D) 3.6036
(E) 36.036



I can do this problem easily the long way...but I don't have time for that on the GMAT...If there wasn't a plus sign I know the trick, but the plus sign messes it all up....because the shortcut way the way you would do it if you had 5/(1/4) is you move the four to the top and you multiple 5 times 4... but here you cannot do that as you get .4, but the OA is B, which is .02775.

1/[(100/3)+(100/37)]

1/SOMETHING BIGGER THAN 1

So C, D and E are gone
so it is actually

1/(30ish+3ish)

1/33ish = 1/30 = 0.03ish

B fits the bill
