yupp A and C are grammatically correct.

But C changes the meaning

C distort the meaning by suggesting that the comforts of life are in Laura's home. Actually Laura is stating this in her home i.e. inside her home. The comforts of life could be anywhere.
So OA is A
What is the source? Not a great question, I must say.

In their respective contexts, both A and C look correct to me.
