Use the regular sets formula
P(A) + P(B) + P(C) – P(AnB) – P(AnC) – P(BnC) + P(AnBnC)
(AnBnC)= ?

Statement (1)
AnB = 16
AnBnC = 9

Sufficient.

Statement (2)
total = 25+30+35 -16-17-18 + P(AnBnC)

We have two unknowns, therefore we cannot find P(AnBnC), Insufficient.
