The Destructors, is an unusually powerful film about a group of cruel and idle young boys who destroys an old man's home for no other reason but because it is beautiful.
In this example the word, 'but' is not actually working as a proper conjunction - instead it is being used as a preposition meaning 'except'.

This being the case it would be awkward to say, "for no other reason except because it is beautiful."

Using, 'that' is correct.

Hope that helps

reason and because are redundant in one sentence.
