First, let's convert 100,000 seconds into minutes.

100,000 sec = 100,000/60 ≈ 1,667 min

Now, let's convert 1,667 minutes into hours and minutes.

Since 1,667/60 = 27 47/60, 1,667 min = 27 hours 47 min

So we have to add 27 hours 47 min to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Adding the first 24 hours to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, becomes 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, and adding the final 3 hours 47 min to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday becomes 1:17 a.m. Thursday.

Answer: D
