N was the principal corridor, means it was the medium through which XYZ happened, it doesnt mean it is the place or location where it actually happened. A uses "where"and hence sentence means that cultural influences happened at the corridor. we need a sentence that points out N as a medium and not the exact location. C is incorrect for the same reasons.

again E means the principal corridor was transmitting the cultural influences, can a corridor transmit cultural differences, certainly NOT

IMO B

Corridor is the medium to transmit the culture and hence "through" is correct.
A is incorrect as stated by iamcste

I think A, C, E are wrong because they distort the meaning

B and D. I can not go on

why D is wrong?

i feel B is correct.

option D is incorrect because
transmitting acts as a participle form of the verb which is needed to express the progressive aspect .
