if t denotes the thousandth digit in the decimal representation of d above , what digit is t ?

1. if d were rounded to nearest hundredth, the result will be 0.44.
2. if d were rounded to the nearest thousandth, result will be 0.436

From 2:
when rounded to nearest 1000th, result is 0.436.Therefore t=5.
Since rounding off that last 7 (>=5) would increase the 1000th place by 1
SUFFICIENT

From 1:
when rounded to nearest 100th, result is 0.44
therefore t = 5,6,7,8 or 9
NOT SUFFICIENT

IMO answer B
