Please Help me with the approach

I want to know the approach for the following kind of questions:

Which of the following numbers if the greatest?
A) 1876452/1876455
B) 1883446/1886449
C) 1883453/1883156
D) 1883456/1883459
E) 1883491/1883494

Replying a query takes patience and time. The least a person can do is to thank the reply.

C is the only one with a numerator greater than its denominator, so it must be the biggest number.

In general, when a question gives you values that you can't easily calculate, you should look to apply your knowledge of number properties and basic rules. If all 5 answers had given us fractions where the denominator was greater than the numerator, finding the difference between the terms and trying to extract a pattern or rule would be helpful.
