Like Vs As confused

While going through MGMAT's sentence correction guide, I got confused in the usage of Like and As.
In the book it is explained that "Like" means "similar to" or "in a manner similar to".

eg: I danced like you last night.
Can I write: I danced as she did.

** what if a SC question has both these choices. Which one shall i choose?

I know this question is quite trivial, but I will really appreciate if anyone sheds some light on this topic.

Hi,

It boils down the intended meaning of the sentence.

I danced like you last night. - intended meaning is that "you" danced last night and "I" danced last night

I danced as she did. - intended meaning is that "I" danced in the manner she danced

But in MGMAT's SC guide, it mentions that like also means "in a similar manner". This is what confuses me, as "I danced as she did" also depicts the same meaning, "in the similar manner".

In your explanation {I danced like you last night. - intended meaning is that "you" danced last night and "I" danced last night }, this may also suggest that the other person was not present in the party, and you are informing that I danced in the same way as the other person does.
