The equation is a bit unclear, please use () to make it easier to understand

2X+6=3+(5/3) x
In this case the correct answer is not there for 2x

2X+6=3+5/(3 x)
In this case the answer is also not there...

2x + 6 = 3 + (5/3)x
2x - (5/3)x + 6 = 3 + (5/3)x - (5/3)x
(6/3)x - (5/3)x + 6 = 3 + (5/3)x - (5/3)x
(1/3)x + 6 = 3
(1/3)x = -3
x = -9
2x = -18

2X+6=3+(5/3) x
x/3 = -3
x = -9
2x = -18
