It's a request to kindly underline the incorrect part in the original question.Though ppl have solved the question but I am sure it would have taken more time.The stopwatch is given so that we can give timed answers.

he in the non underlined part of the sentence and a comma after that, immediately needs to modify Don Knotts.

Hence we are left only with B, C and D

B is wrong coz its modifying not Don but his portrayals.

D is wrong coz Don won awards for what ? his portrayal. and not the other way round.

Hence I'd go for C
