Inequality confusion

If d > 0 and , 0< 1-c/d < 1 which of the following must be true ?
I. c > 0
II. c/d<1
III. c^2+d^2>1

(A) I only
(B) II only
(C) I and II only
(D) II and III only
(E) I, II, and III

okie.. here the OA is C. but as we know that d>0 and c>0 won't III also be true?

Maybe you've misread III. It says c^2+d^2>1, NOT c^2+d^2>0

Say c is 0.3 and d is 0.5, thus c^2+d^2 = 0.34 and this is less than 1.

Hi:

One question: Why is I true? ... c>0 only if d>0 too, if not, 1- c/d won't be less than 1

The question stem states that d>0, in which case for 0<1-c/d<1 to be true, c must be <0..
(I did the same mistake as you did :-)),but it's in the question.
