(E) how frequently the inventory turns over can be (doesn't it mean that the inventory turns over by itself)
Example:
(E) how items are placed (by someone) and how ... inventory turns over (by itself ?)
"Turn over" is both transitive (Turn over a new leaf) and intransitive (Your grandmother would turn over in her grave if she could see what you're doing!); the sense meaning "go through the cycle of arrival, storage, and sale" is intransitive and does not imply that the inventory is taking action of its own accord.
