58. A recording system was so secretly installed and operated in the Kennedy Oval Office that even Theodore C.Sorensen, the White House counsel, did not know it existed.
(A) A recording system was so secretly installed and operated in the Kennedy Oval Office that
(B) So secret was a recording system installation and operation in the Kennedy Oval Office

OA is option(A). The explanation provided for option (E) is as follows: 'The inverted word order does not grammatically fit into the rest of the sentence.'. Now , I understand that the 'it' needs to be dropped out from the rest of the sentence for this option to fit in , but can someone provide me with a grammatical explanation for it?

Why "IT" need to be eliminated from Op E, i think the pronoun IT is fine...the only reason i find is in Op E, the inverted sub make the meaning less clear then Op A

Is the option A better because it is in active voice while E is in passive? what is a better explanation to this one.

Yes. Also, I am not sure but i feel having "so secretly" before correctly talks about both activities that is "installed" and "operated".
Something like Both X and Y

I quite agree with the explanation where "so secretly" an adverb has to properly modify the adjectives installed and operated. Also the active voice in Choice A makes A recording system a clear subject which "it" can refer to.
