Need some direction

by Nach0 » Mon Nov 02, 2009 5:57 pm
So I studied for the GMAT at the beginning of the year for about 3 or 4 months, but only scored a 590 on the test. I didn't get accepted into any schools, so now I'm taking it again at the end of the year, meaning I now have roughly 2 months to study for this test. I'm planning this because if I don't score well enough this time, then I'll still have more time to try again.

I wanted some advice on how I should structure my study schedule. Right now, I work a 7-4 M-F job, so I won't have time to study 24/7. Please give me some advice on how I can maximize my efforts and be as efficient as possible with my time.

Thanks

I think your best bet is to go for no more than 2 hours a day on weekdays and no more than 6 hours a day on weekends. The best thing to do when prepping for the GMAT is to target your weaknesses first and then deal with your strengths. I used this post to develop my strategy and it eventually got me a 770. The main idea is to practice starting with your weakest point and then progressively allot more time for prep as you get closer to your test. Hope this helps.
