I am working for a very good IT gaint.I spend 12 hours at office.I could not stucture my time for preparing GMAT.I have taken sample tests to check my status and I am scoring 550-600.Can any one please guide me for starting my preparation.(books to start with,my verbal is poor)

I realize you are working long hours, but is there any chance you could fit in an evening prep course? They can be very efficient ways to structure a small amount of prep time.

- general practice - Official Guide 12th edition and Verbal Review
- for Sentence Correction - Manhattan GMAT SC guide
- for Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension - PowerScore CR Bible

steps
1) open an Amazon Prime account to get free 2 day shipping (it has a 3 month free trial which you can use to buy whatever you want and get it shipped in 2 days.. good for christmas) Make sure you read the fine print on the fact you have to cancel it before the trial ends or they'll charge you something like 80 bucks.

2) for verbal buy all of what Dana said and do exactly what she says for she is god in the female GMAT helping form

3) for math buy Kaplan's Gmat math workbook sixth edition. Do the whole thing from beginning to end. Make sure you learn everything as you go and make flash cards. Learn the explanations to the answer and if the books do it differently than you make sure you learn how the book solved the problem also.

4) Buy all of Manhattan's Math prep books. As well as all the OG12 books (if you haven't already). The MGMAT book will guide your task of tackling the gigantic OG12 book in a categorized manner.

5) Buy a Bodom Coffee Press for 19.99... you're gonna need it from the lack of sleep.
