Hi Guys!

This is an awesome resource for all B-school aspirants and for all the folks preparing for GMAT. I have been following this site for some time now and I have my own test scheduled on the 7th of next month. I am posting this to seek some advise on my diminishing performance.

I took my first Kaplan online practice test last week and got a score of 670 (Q46/V39), following which I took MGMAT 1 (630 - Q42/V34) and MGMAT 2 (630 - Q42/V34). Also, I guess it's worth mentioning here that I took my first GMAT prep test almost 2 months back to ascertain my level then and got a 700 in that test (I have been preparing for GMAT since then). Now, before I take the rest of the tests of MGMAT and Kaplan series, my concern is that my score is diminishing with every test rather than improving. Also, with the 2 MGMAT tests that I have taken so far, I have a feeling that I am somewhat forgetting the concepts that I had learned (specially Quant) before taking these tests.

I am a PhD (marketing) aspirant and aiming a score of 730-740 to get through a good B-school, but my negative curve of performance has started to give me a fright of what's in the "store" for me! I am loosing confidence and getting demotivated. Can someone please suggest what am I doing wrong or may be what shall I do as I really don't have the liberty of time with me now (given I have precisely 19 days left to my test day)!

Shall I just summarize all the concepts again and not concentrate on taking tests or is it normal to get such scores in these tests and I shall carry on with my existing schedule of taking tests and reviewing mistakes?

All comments are welcome. I look forward to see some replies soon to help me get over my anxiety:)

Best
Ash

Hi Ash,

I am also going through the same phase. I have my exam scheduled on 2nd Aug and yesterday took a MGMAT Test and scored 600 (42Q 30V). I thought of re-scheduling my exam but then now I am too saturated and I don't wanna postpone the test. After analyzing the test I realized I am making silly mistakes which can be rectified over these 2 weeks time period. I would suggest you that don't get disheartened and take the results as a scope of improvement. Keep giving tests as you will come across many loop holes. I was going to Ask the forum members for suggestions whether I should postpone my exam by 15 days or so.
