Hey guys,
I started studying in January and got a 440 on my first practice test from Manhattan Gmat. I was extremely dissapointed, but signed up to the Mgmat classes and have been studying their material almost every day for several hours.
I just took another test again, and thought that I had flunked it...I ran out of time with about 7 questions remaining on both sections so i had to guess without looking at the problems.
I got a 42 in quant and 32 in verbal, resulting in a 600.
For quant i only got 18 out of 37 correct!! but got my target score of 42. I got a lot of the 600 and 700 point questions correct.
For the verbal section, i only got 32. I thought I was doing a lot better than that but I got a lot of critical reasoning wrong and I was very short on time. Im not sure this is normal but I got 4 LARGE reading passages for reading comp. I was told by my instructor that it is usually 2 large and 2 medium/small passages that dont need to scroll on the screen.
For the past 2 months, my studying was mostly quant based so I guess this is where the disparity comes from. I was pleasantly surprised that my score jumped so much, so now I have even more incentive to study harder for the next 3 months till I get my target score of 700 (42q, 42v)
