Hello,

I was wondering if you can please assist with this question. This appeared in the IR section of one of MGMAT CAT's. Thanks for your help.

350 students at High School High are currently enrolled in French, Spanish, or both French and Spanish. 230 students are currently enrolled in Spanish.

Identify the number of students currently enrolled in French and the number of students currently enrolled in both French and Spanish. The two numbers must be consistent with each other and with the constraints above.

Answer:
French: 260
French and Spanish: 140
using venn diagram

Total students = French speaking + spanish Speaking - Both language
350 = French + 230 - Both
French - Both = 120
French = Both +120

Using the table given for both , see for which value French values is given
