Target question => At what rate, in gallons per minute is the amount of water in the tank increasing?


Statement 1 => The amount of water in the tank initially is 200 gallons
This only gives the initial capacity of the tank and not the rate of inflow or outflow of water, hence statement 1 is NOT SUFFICIENT


Statement 2 => Water is pumped into the tank at a rate of 10 gallons per minute and out of the tank at a rate of 10 gallons every 212212 minutes
Rate of pumping water into the tank = 10 gallons per 1 minute
Rate of pumping water out of the tank = 10 gallons every 212212 minute
which is 10/212212 = 4.71 gallons er 1 minute
Rate of water increase = 10 - 4.71
= 5.29 gallons per 1 minute
Statement 2 is SUFFICIENT


Statement 2 alone is SUFFICIENT,
