can please tell how the essays are being evaluted i mean like on what criterion the marks are given and also what is need of introducing this section into the gmat i mean like what are the skills being tested

I really recommend just reading the OG on this. If you don't have the Official Guide, I highly recommend getting it.

Language, structure, Ideas, concept clarity, Grammar are some of the aspects looked at. Do look at OG for more! :)
