If x is not zero, is x^2 + 2x > x^2 + x?
1)x^odd integer > x^even integer
2)x^2 + x - 12 = 0

x^2 + 2x > x^2 + x
or
is
x > 0
1) x ^ odd integer > x ^ even integer
the statement seems quite ambiguous because nothing is mentioned here about relation between odd integer and even integer. Though it indicates that x^ odd integer must be a positive number. because x^even integer is always positive. so x must be greater then zero.
but the statement cant be true for all possible pair of an odd integer and an even integer.
i.e. if x^3 > x^2 then x^4 > x^3
statement is sufficient as such in this case for telling us the sign of number.
2)x^2 + x -12 =0
or (x+4)(x-3) = 0 => x= -4, 3
one value positive other negative .. so statement 2 is not sufficient itself.
IMO A
