Dressed as a man and using the name Robert Shurtleff, Deborah Sampson, the first woman to draw a soldier’s pension, joined the Continental Army in 1782 at the age of 22, was injured three times, and was discharged in 1783 because she had become too ill to serve.

OG 13, SC 37; The highlighted phrases are not paralled. Could any one explain why they are not parallel.

Dressed as a man & using the name Robert Shurtleff are both participial phrases that modify the noun Deborah Sampson.

As for as a man and the name Robert Shurtleff i'm not so sure
