Hi Mitch,
The stem tells us that Some archaeologists have theorized that the cities were abandoned due to a severe drought ...a) some archaeologists b) they theorized..so we don't know for a fact that the drought occurred between 800 and 1000 AD.

Any inputs?

Thanks!

It is stated as a fact that a severe drought is KNOWN to have occurred in the region between 800 and 1000 AD.
Archaeologists cannot THEORIZE that something is KNOWN.
What they theorize is that this KNOWN DROUGHT led people to ABANDON the cities.

i answered correctly...
i narrowed down to B and C,.,.
i knew C was more tempting, but i chose B (with the logic that coz C is more tempting , dont choose that stuff)..and i could not connect any proper logic with B..but i chose B..
