to those who were hoping to see a question here, my apologies!!

I have this very urgent query . How do i distinguish between 'due to' and 'because of' and their appropriate usages?

Can someone explain both usages with a couple of examples to make this distinction clear?

Experts, SOS please!!

"Due to" generally modifies a noun, so this a prepositional phrase modifying a noun.
ex: His prosperity is due to his hard work

Because of generally follows a verb and modifies it.
ex: He prospered because of his hard work

So one works as adjective the other one as adverb.
