Hi,
I'll probably ask the same old questions, but will be grateful for any answers/suggestions/direction -
I have been thinking about giving GMAT for almost 2 yrs now. Bought Kaplan 800 in 2009. But finally, about two weeks back, I became somewhat serious (in that I started googling GMAT prep help, etc). Based on what most people have written here, 2 days back, I bought OG 12th Ed and Manhattan SC.
Then I gave the official GMAT sample test 1 and scored 700 (QA-49, VA-35), though I'm not sure if I should've scored this much cuz when I checked, I had got 9 wrong in QA and 12 wrong in VA!!
But anyway, I was (mildly) elated with my score.
I don't think I need to stress about the QA part (despite those 9 as 4 of them were out of my carelessness and impatience), I am quite comfortable with the types and levels of questions asked. (Except Number Theory, where I take a lot of time)
What do I need for VA? Please suggest a strategy, or any other pointers. My issues are - I had a bad GPA (6.2/10) in a field I never cared for - Computer Science. I'm curently working in an IT MNC in Support. Had good high-school scores though. And I don't really have much curricular activities. I do take really good pictures, like to blog, and obsess about Music (almost all genres),
Anyway, PLEASE GET ME TO A Top 20 program. I am interested in stuff like Public Policy and Human Welfare. Also, are these fields 'proper'? As in, will I get enough food?
