If n and p are integers, is p>0?
1). n+1>0
2). np>0

[spoiler]1. n= 0.5 or n= - 0.5
2. n and p = +ve or n and p = -ve
Combine: if n = 0.5, p= +ve and if n = -0.5 then p= -ve.
So E

I think the mistake you are doing is using n and p as 1/2 and -1/2. The question tells us that n and p are integers.

together the smallest value n can be is 1. if n is (+), then p is also (+)
