Hi All,

Could anyone please explain why n, k etc are understood to be integers..?

Hi Mallika,

Based on the information in the prompt, we have no idea whether the variables are integers or not. Fact 1 tells us that N, X and K are EVEN.....this means that they ARE integers, but they might be positive, negative or 0, so P could be an integer or a fraction.

Fact 2 tells us that the 3 variables are positive, but again - they could be integers or fractions.
