Age: 27
Gender: Male
Country: Bangladesh
Education: BBA (2003) and MBA (part time - 2006) from IBA, Dhaka University
Job experience: working in leasing industry since June, 2003
Responsibilities: Relationship manager. Includes marketing of leasing and loan products, credit-worthiness appraisal of the clients, loan documentation and monitoring.
Gmat: 690 (Q47, V38) AWA: still waiting results
TOEFL: 112 IBT
Weaknesses:
1. oral communication skill below average
2. No mentionable extracurricular activity
Other facts:
1. Will go to USA in immigrant visa by June, 2009
2. Want to pursue MBA to start career in finance field (e.g. investment banking)
3. Will sit for CFA level 1 in June, 2010 (expecting to pass in one go)

Given the facts, I want to know which of the top business schools I can aim for, if any. My options so far are:

Tier 1 (apply one): USC, UT Austin
Tier 2 (apply any two): Cornell, UVA, Carnegie mellon, kenan flaglar
Tier 3 (apply one): Indiana, Emroy, Georgia Tech, Ohio

Please let me know your opinions and my chances of success.

Please see my comments:

Tier 1 (apply one): USC, UT Austin -- Competitive/ Stretch
Tier 2 (apply any two):
Cornell, (Stretch)
UVA, (Competitive)
Carnegie mellon, (Competitive /stretch)
kenan flaglar (Competitive)
Tier 3 (apply one): Indiana, Emroy, Georgia Tech, Ohio ...(Competitive)

----My suggestion would be that you work for a corporation in US when you come over here, gain some solid global work experience and then apply to b-schools. This will help solve the oral communication problem that you have right now. Most bangladeshi's take over 6months to a year before their oral communication improves. Hope this helps.

Good Luck.
