Do we receive some correction from GMAC after the test?

Hi everyone,
Well after all, I took the GMAT today and...Failed...580...I was targeting a 640 score, it's all I needed but I bombed the verbal section...
I worked but I obviously did something wrong along the way! Can anyone tell me if we actually do receive corrections from our test or we'll never know where we made mistakes and why?
Thx in advance,
C

You won't receive any kind of information regarding the questions you answered incorrectly.
The main reason for this is that the test-makers spend about $5000 on each question (development, testing, analysis, edits, re-testing, etc.), so they want to keep the "live" questions out of the public domain.

Cheers,
Brent

Brent is exactly right! In fact, you will never even know which questions actually counted and which questions where just "unscored items" that are being tested for future use.

The lack of information provided by GMAC is why the actual GMAT Test is not really to be used to diagnose your difficulties. Were your GMATPrep scores similar to the 580 or was this a big drop from your practice tests?

Hi David,
Well the latest GMAT prep I took, I had 620 (Q44 V30). The one before, 640 (Q49 V28).
As you see, verbal is my weakness...
I had a very bad verbal score and underperformed math on D day. I had 44 in Q and 26 V... The worst is that I thought that verbal was going well. My main weakness does not even come from Sentence correction, but rather from RC and CR...There must be a way to improve these areas right?
