New York is known for its Adirondack Park, that still has expansive forests of deciduous and coniferous trees, and where such forests house a number of endangered animal species.

A that still has expansive forests of deciduous and coniferous trees, and where

B which still has expansive forests of deciduous and coniferous trees;

C which still has expansive forests of deciduous and coniferous trees, where

D where still expansive forests of deciduous and coniferous trees, and

E where there are still expansive forests of deciduous and coniferous trees, and where

Answer is E

After eliminating A,C,and D. I stuck on B and E. After a moment i selected B because i didn't find any error in B, and the reason to eliminate E was the verb "are". I am not sure what is the subject of this verb "are". I do understand that these are two different clauses referring to "Adirondack Park," and both are parallel. However, i am not able to identify the subject of verb "are". Please help me in identifying the subject of this verb.

Thanks & Regards
Vinni

B is wrong because semicolon ie,; should separate two independent clauses. That's not true here.

In sentences 'There are...' subject comes AFTER THE VERB. Here subject is FORESTS (still=adverb; expensive=adjective)

A that ..., and where -- parallelism error
B which --- changes meaning. 2nd independent clause does not refer back to main subject of the sentence
C which ..., where -- parallelism error
D where ..., and -- two subject joined by comma + and

IMO: E
