ratio

At certain college there are twice as many as english major as history major and there are three times as many as english major as math major. What is the ratio history to math major?




the answer is 3 to 2....sorry i don't know how to go back to Gmatprep and review the practice test after i close it, it always start a new one.

English : History = 2:1
English : Maths = 3:1

History : Maths = (History : English)* (English : Maths) = 1/2 * 3/1 = 3/2

E/H=2/1 & E/M =3/1

DEVIDE ONE BY OTHER

(E/H)/(E/M)=(2/1)/(3/1)

SO H/M=3/2
