GMAT / altrrnate transcript ( should i take it now or later)

My ques. To you is. ..as GMAT score is valid for 5 years ... So is it absolutely ok ..if i take the gmat now and apply for colleges 4 years later ...do top colleges prefer students who have taken gmat recently?? actually i want to go for GMAT now as i am in touch with studies and i belive that i can score better if i take the exam now .. Amd then gain some work experince ..to get taste of the real world out there and then apply for MBA school

thanks a lot for yor advises.
so heres what I would do

Take the GMAT now and score the best I could and then gradually build my profile in next 3-4 years. .any adbises in that regaed

Secondly

I have issues with my past acadmic record . they are not too good (they are bad actually) I have did some reserch nd I now know that a very good GMAT score + a good profile can overshadow my weak GPA etc. but I would really like to know about the alternate transcript. ( I have to do it partime)

I know I am asking too much nd wasting a lot of your time . so if you could answer these it will be awesome butif not just guide me to any proper fourm or a link where I can have deatiled info about these two

Anyhow, for the moment, that's split milk, so no use worrying about that. You'll have to make the best of what you have, and one of the best ways to cover up for a poor GPA is a great GMAT.

We spoke on another thread, but as you know I concur with Jon. Take the GMAT now and score as high as you can because a high score will be the best way to mitigate your lower academic marks.
