I feel
C,D,E are incorrect as the pronoun referring back to the noun do not agree in number.

between A and B, i would pick A

B has the ";" that is unnecessary.

abhi332 ,
Please be mindful of the exact question. I had initially ruled out "A" because in the question stem it is incorrect. It is missing an article "a"(I usually skip reading answer choice A after reading the question). Also, please underline properly.

Thanks!

C, D and E are out because of wrong S-V

Between A and B, B is out because of ';'

A is correct
