Please explain B .

IMO, B could be right if it said:
In pingpong,unlike in tennis.... to get the right comparison

As kvcpk said, Choice B would require a second "in" for parallelism in the comparison. Whenever in doubt on SC, go with the most parallel choice. It will not always be right (there are cases of "false parallelism"), but it's a very good basis for guessing.
