Galileo's theory that ours was indeed a solar system, in which Earth and other planets revolve around the sun, reinforced those of Copernicus.

Not pretty sure which option is correct out of B & E

Option E looks incorrect because it gives a feeling that Solar system reinforces the theory of Copernicus. Whereas, it's the Galileo's theory [Main subject]

To maintain perfect parallelism, we need to have copernicus'. But since choice C messes up in the middle, I'll go for Choice B
