background check reg

by harishsram » Thu Nov 03, 2011 10:30 am
This is for the experts

I am working in a MNC in India, currently under 3 years bond.
If i get 2012 admit i would have to break the bond and join the business school.
Will breaking the bond be treated as a negative impression by the schools which do background check on my profile?

Hi

There is a uni directional answer to this, yes.

First of all why do you need to break the bond? If they have kept a bond, there will be cause to pay them off to relinquish the bond.

If you pay them off, it wont be taken as negative, even if the schools come to know this.

At second you will always need recos and that will require a good relation with your fellows and seniors and HR's.

I cant believe they have 3 years bond period.

If you want to be released from the bond, you should pay the required penalty (or whatever else the terms are). If you are asking whether you can simply walk away from the firm, then it is quite likely that the school will find out even with the most basic of background checks. And yes,it will be a negative impression - whether they reject you or ask for an explanation for such a thing will depend on the school. Also how will you get the recos?
