Am I ready?

by FutureBanker1010 » Mon Jun 13, 2011 3:27 pm
I have been following this forum for quite a while now. I thank each one of you for your contributions to this site. I have learned a great deal from your postings. I would like to know what you guys think about my readiness for the real GMAT. My target score is 720. My exam can be scheduled for two weeks from today, but I am apprehensive about achieving my 720 target.

GMATPrep 1: 690 (45Q-40V)
MGMAT 1: 670 (43Q-38V)
Old Kaplan CD CAT 1: 650 (42Q-37V) - This was a CD that I borrowed from a friend who noticed that the scoring is vastly understated.
MGMAT 2: 710 (44Q-42V)
GMATPrep 2: 710 (47Q-41V)
MGMAT 3: 700 (47Q-38V)
GMATPrep 1 (retake): 720 (48Q-41V) - I didn't recognized any repeats.

Thank you guys for all your help! If I do take the exam soon, I will post a thorough debrief for you all.

I would say that you are ready for the exam!!

We have noticed at Veritas that the GMATPrep Exam is on average a little below the real GMAT exam score. So the GMATPrep scores a little lower. That of course if over the broad spectrum of students and individual results do vary, but if I had to guess I would say that under normal testing conditions with no unusual mishaps you will be in a position to score from 700 to 740 -- something in that range.

For the next two weeks keep yourself at peak performance, try to minimize mistakes and get yourself ready to calmly face any question that you see. You have taken several CATs so you should be battle-tested.

I say take it now, knowing that in the worst case you can always take it again. Don't wait longer and let the pressure build more.

I would bet that you will be successful "FutureBanker."
