It depends on the round and which school it is. I plan on applying to Cornell and Darden in R1, so all my apps and scores have to be in by Mid Oct.

How much time do I need to allow for my scores to reach the schools I want them to go to?

we dont have to worry about that.

just make sure that you take the test at least (/one day ) before submitting the applications to your desired schools.

The schools have access to an online database to check your scores; nothing is actually mailed to them. Each school's application will tell you the dates by which you are required to take the test to make a certain round.
