Data Sufficiency strategy

Expert replies

I am spending a large amount of time in solving data sufficiency questions which is impacting my overall performance in the QUANTS section. Usually I take a large amount of time to solve the questions on number systems such as divisibility and finding out factors and also inequalities.
Can any one suggest me some books/guides/strategy to improve my efficiency and speed while solving the data sufficiency questions?

Thanks in advance :)

Did you already refer the 'Princeton Review'?
Its a good book to jumpstart your GMAT prep in general and DS section in particular is quite informative / easy-to-grasp, loaded with many example questions and explanations.

I have not gone through the princeton review..
Though I have solved the DS problems of both OG 10 and OG 11. I feel that most of the problems in OG 10 and OG 11 are of a lower difficulty level and only some selected problems are tough. One more point about the OG's is that we do not have an approach or strategy.

So far I like the Kaplan GMAT Premier Program. My main problem with Data Sufficiency is that I focus on solving the problem (I'm trained to do that) or I do a stupid mistake like subconsciously combining statements.
Kaplan helps to break down the problems and give a strategy. After that it's all practice I believe.
